During this historical event, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Tran Chi Cuong arrived at Da Nang International Airport (DAD) to greet the arriving passengers with presents and flowers. According to him, the Philippines is one of the new and potential markets of the city’s tourism. He also conveyed his optimism that this direct flight will help boost Da Nang’s future tourism. Alongside these initiatives, to create tours that would meet the interests of Filipino tourists, the local Department of Tourism invited press trips, famtrips, and KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) from the Philippines to experience and explore Da Nang’s tourism offerings.
Following a market analysis, Cebu Pacific Air made the decision to begin operating the first direct flight, operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, between Manila and Da Nang.
